Practical Information for PVC Window Price Calculation

In PVC window and door systems, the total length of the PVC profiles used is determined in meters or "metretül" (linear meters).

Metretül is a unit of measurement used to determine the length of a material. It is considered a one-dimensional measurement, as one dimension is standard while the other is typically variable.

When calculating the prices of PVC window systems, it cannot be done by square meters (m²). This is because different types of PVC frames can be made within a 1 m² measurement, leading to variations in the amount of PVC profile used. This variation results in different prices when calculating m² prices. Therefore, the most accurate method is to determine how many linear meters (metretül) of main PVC profiles are used in the frame. When calculating PVC window system prices, only the glass is calculated by m².

The metretül calculation includes:

  • Frame, window and door sashes

  • Middle profile, glass beads, support sheets used in these profiles

  • Seals, middle profile connection wedges

  • Drainage caps, mounting screws for support sheets

However, accessories such as single and double-opening sashes, sliding systems, marble sills, glass, installation and insulation materials, profile details (corner, glazing, closure, and surround profiles), and PVC door panels are not included in the metretül calculation. Therefore, while calculating the cost of PVC windows, the prices of these non-metretül items must also be added.

The products included in the metretül calculation are those that are standard, defined, and produced according to the series’ characteristics, which are not altered.

In some PVC window and door systems where certain items are not included in the metretül calculation, the price calculation depends on the customer’s material preferences. This is because the choice of accessories and glass types affects the price. Additionally, technical details might require the inclusion of detail profiles in the system. Since the options vary according to the customer’s preferences and technical specifications, these are not standardized. For this reason, these products are priced separately and added to the PVC window price calculation.

Example Calculation for Egepen Deceuninck LEGEND (80 mm) Series

For a 1200 mm x 1200 mm window with one fixed side and double-opening on the other side, the metretül calculation would be as follows:

  • Legend PVC Window Frame Profile: 4.80 meters

  • Legend PVC Window Middle Profile: 1.20 meters

  • Legend PVC Window Sash Profile: 3.60 meters

Total: 9.60 meters

Price Calculation for PVC Windows

  • PVC Frame Price: The frame's metretül length is multiplied by the unit metretül sales price of the frame.

  • Glass Price: The glass's m² is multiplied by the unit m² sales price of the glass.

  • Accessory Price: The price of one double-opening sash in the PVC frame.

  • Surround Price: The surround's metretül length is multiplied by the unit metretül sales price of the surround.

  • Marble Sill Price: The length of the marble sill is multiplied by the unit meter tül sales price of the sill.

By adding all these values together, the PVC door and window price is determined.
